At the beginning of the dance, I decided to think as if I was on stage, beginning in silhouette, to represent the darkness and the light. As well as presenting negative and positive space in my movements. When I did my outline, I remembered the church I go to had the perfect hallway when all the lights were off. At first, we had led lights to put in the background, however, it just didn't look good, so we simply kept the natural light that was coming from the front door. Note: Most of my movements were based on the lyrics.
Then from the floor, I transition to being in the center of the navy blue doors, I like how everything had dimension and how it wasn't an empty room. All the dance moves I used in this scene have been used in my previous dances. and I was really proud of the outcome. As you can see the colors of the costumes are changing, from white to black and black to white. I was trying to show how I began to change when I heard God's calling. The black means the past and the sorrow I went through and the white signifies new life and eternity. The flowers on the ground and on the stools are used as props. In my mind, I thought of it as if I was dancing in a pretty garden.

Moving forward I am at the park and my brother recommends for me to stand in the middle of the bridge and run towards the camera to add some dramatic effect. Now, my outfit is not black and white but all white. I have devoted myself to follow this new path. So I fall to my knees in his presence and repent, understanding that God has been the answer to everything. Also, in this scene, again, I imagined being on stage. ( of course, I pointed my feet, can't forget that :) ) Facing away from the audience and having the backdrop be an image of a cross. Furthermore, in the next scene, I am in new locations, sitting, then leaping( still not very good at leaps but oh well, it takes practice), and spinning( I remembered to stay focused on one spot and spin while keeping my back aligned correctly) happily because I realize that my God values me and protects me. When I was walking instead of running towards the camera, I was trying to show that I am now walking on the narrow road, following God's guidance.

In the last scene, I stand holding my Bible, happy to build my relationship with God, thanking him for calling me when I was going through a tough time.

This project really helped me grow in many ways. I am glad I got the chance to express my ideas. I am glad that I am now comfortable showing the world my talent. Not only in dance but in my other classes as well. I learned that this teaches students to have courage and to not be let down by what they can't do. To realize that either way they are talented and creative. I will use these skills in the future and continue to glorify God and try my best next time when I decide to make this dance video professionally. Moreover, I am very grateful for everything that has happened in my life. Now, I will continue to smile and dance joyfully.

Dance Styles I used:

Ballet
" Ballet, theatrical dance in which a formal academic dance technique—the danse d’école—is combined with other artistic elements such as music, costume, and stage scenery. The academic technique itself is also known as ballet. This article surveys the history of ballet."

Modern dance

"Modern dance in the United States (Germany also had a related and influential dance movement) is traced to the early 20th century to a group of dancers often labeled the forerunners of modern dance. Isadora Duncan, Loie Fuller, Ruth St. Dennis, and her husband and partner Ted Shawn, each made significant contributions to a new type of concert dance in America."
